Firing near UP Morr

Firing incident has taken place near UP Morr, North Karachi. Some unknown armed men killed 3 people and wounded 1. The wounded and murdered belonged to Sipah Sahaba Pakistan. However, their names are still unknown. The dead bodies of murdered people and wounded were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police is probing into the matter.

Exiled MQM Leader Assassinated in London

Exiled MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq was assassinated last evening in London in Mill Hills area. He was back from a routine walk when he was stabbed to death. He was stabbed four times; the assassin made serious wounds to Imran Farooq in neck and head.

Reports say that he was ambushed outside his home. He received serious neck and head injuries which spontaneously caused the death. He was rushed to the hospital but after reaching the hospital doctors confirmed his death.

MQM leaders say that murder could be political and it could also be a conspiracy. It is also being said that the incident took place immediately before the 17th day of September which is the birthday of MQM leader. So the dates are being declared important.

Dr. Imran Farooq was the Deputy Convener of MQM and very close to party leader Altaf Hussain. After his murder Altaf Hussain literally cried due to the grief of death of a very close companion. Dr. Imran Farooq was a senior activist of MQM and accompanying Altaf Hussain from the start of the party.

He is to be buried in Karachi as his body is sent from London. His father says that Imran's brother - Rehan is departing for London to collect his body.

After his death, Karachi went unrest. Guns fire was reported in several areas of the city, as well as, some buses have been set alight. Today on 17 September 2010, much tension is to be seen in the city. Transport is totally closed and all markets of Karachi are shut after the announcement of 10 days mourning from MQM against the incident.

Supreme Court Dissatisfied with the Sialkot Case Investigation

Supreme Court of Pakistan has showed suspicion in investigation of Sialkot Murder case of two innocent brothers. SC decided to monitor itself the probe in that case. Chief Justice has given remarks that Police is spoiling the case and if happened so, SC will go the last limit. They said that DPO Kamiana has told lie in the court. IG and RPO to be called to the next session of hearing. Hearing was adjourned to 27 September 2010.

Supreme Court Orders DPO Sialkot for Arresting Escaped ASI

Supreme court has passed orders to DPO, Sialkot to arrest the escaped ASI Waris Ali within next 24 hours. It may be recalled that including Rana Ilyas, three cops have been arrested yet who were on the spot when Hafiz Muneeb and Mughees - two innocent brothers were being killed by a group of people.

Justice Ghulaam Rabbani and Justice Khalil ur Rehman Ramday have heard the suo moto case hearing in the supervision of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftakhar Muhammad Choudry. Khwaja Haris - Advocate General has told the court that three policemen who were present at the tragic event and they did not control the mob to kill those innocent brothers hence Waris Ali - ASI could not be captured yet. Court further asked the authorities that if some influential is hindering the capture of ASI Waris Ali, then his name should be brought before the court but DPO says nothing like that.

Hearing was adjourned at the order of capture of ASI Waris Ali in next 24 hours.

Sialkot Murdered Brothers Were Not Culprits: Inquiry Commission

Inquiry Commission for probe in the case of murder of two innocent brothers has affirmed that both were not culprits. It might be possible that they could have committed in unawareness something illegal but till the time of their murder, there was no case filed against them. He further said that policemen provided free hand to the killers for killing them. He demanded their bodies should be exhumed and be sent for postmortem.

Three Bomb Blasts in Lahore

18 killings have been confirmed yet in three bomb blasts in Lahore on September 01, 2010. Blasts happened on a religious procession besides Gamay Shah. The procession was regarding Youm-e-Ali (R.A). Blasts took place in a huge crowd killing 18 people while more than 150 people have been reported to be injured.

Blasts series started when people in the procession were doing Aftar outside Karbala Gamay Shah. Second blast was heard while the injured were being taken to the hospital. It took place at Bhati Gate. In the deceased, there was one policemen. There was a large number of children and women in the injured.


After the blasts, violence was started and police stations were attacked. According to Police, two blasts were suicide and one was a cracker.
